At the ballpark the very potent Jefferson Park Penguins snapped a 6 game
losing streak and outscored the Dart Weasels 4 to 1.
Dart fell behind quickly as the Jefferson Park offense came through in the
first inning when they scored 2 runs on 1 hit. The highlight belonged to
Moises Alou who brought the crowd to their feet when he cracked a two-run
shot (his 26th of the season). Dart went down without a fight in the 9th.
The winning pitcher was J.C. Romero(3-2) who allowed no runs in 3 innings.
Romero was helped out by Armando Benitez who recorded his 23rd save. Matt
Clement(10-9) was hit with the loss. He allowed 7 hits and 3 walks in 8
innings.
